PLEASE READ THIS FIRST!!!
I have an existing website which is in Burmese language.
There are two kinds of font encoding in Burma, Zawgyi and Unicode so people in Burma use either of these two encoding method to input or write content or send messages. They have to install a relevant font first in order to see the font rendered correctly on their device BUT the problem is if your device is installed with Zawgyi, fonts created with Unicode will not render/appear correctly on your device and vice versa.
My requirement:
My website is a forum website where users will input content by using either Zawgyi and Unicode so I want my website to support both Zawgyi and Unicode encoding. The preferred technique is to detect the encoding of user-entered text, then convert to Unicode. Display the converted text.
Note:
1. to understand more about Zawgyi and Unicode, please refer to this link: [login to view URL]
2. feel free to propose any other option for solution but I recommend you to try the following solution first:
First do CSS webfont embedding with Unicode, and then use auto conversion method to detect the encoding of user-entered text, then convert to Unicode.
Note: You can refer to [login to view URL] for font embedding and [login to view URL] for conversion between Zawgyi and Unicode.
