Looking for someone to port from Visual Studio C# a small serial terminal utility to Java using Netbeans 8.X.
This is a simple serial utility I wrote a few years back to exercise serial com functions between a piece of hardware I developed and a PC computer. Although the program works ok as a windows application I would like to convert it to a Java application so it is a platform independent application. By default most java applications will work with unix, linux, windows and Mac OS however, because this needs to access a serial comm port it will need to have an API that conforms to that OS. I want this to operate in both Mac OS and Linux as well as Windows. I believe there are two free open source libraries for Java that will do this JSerialComm and JSSC-2.8. Although I have Netbeans installed on my Mac I do not do any Java programming so I would like someone to port this program into Java. I will provide all my Visual C# source code and all information required for you to proceed.
