I ensure a work tidy surface when working at home in addition, I am known to friends as a 'strange one who is clinically tidy'. I clean with cloths/duster first to reduce dust and then with wet towelling over wooden surfaces such as bookshelves and tables. Consequently, any remaining flooring, I vacuum thoroughly with the surfaces and worktops and upholstery features.
