Please find below the details of this project. I have also attached the project in its word format, so easier to view.
Project Description:
Use MS Access to generate a table with the following fields (filled with a dozen plausible records):
Family name
First name
Registration 'number' (6 characters, text)
Gender(‘M’ or ‘F’)
Course (‘A’,’B’ or ‘C’).
(The database may need to be converted to Access 97.)
Using Visual C++ (version 6 NOT 7, and NOT Visual C++.NET), generate a database aware application which allows a user to browse through the records, using a dialog box to alter any of the fields on a record.
The dialog box should provide the choice for the ‘Gender’ field using radio buttons, and the choice for the ‘Course’ field by using a drop-down list box which contains the entries of a number of courses, corresponding to the letter stored in the database –
Table Letter Description/Course
A Applied Computer Technology
B Broadcast Technology
C Computer Engineering
The registration number should be validated (i.e. checked that it only contains numeric characters)
(I think this project is primarily visual, with some coding, and only needs to be fulfilled on a basic level.)
Final Requirements:
Do NOT use ODBC database access routines. Use DAO (NOT ADO) to access the database. (Hence why maybe needing to convert the database to Access 97)
Access directories for the database files should not be too complicated. (e.g.: .Directories such as ‘My Databases’ may not travel well as the directory path includes user information). Don’t forget to include the ‘.db’ file.
We recently established our development center in bangalore,India. We are having dedicated team who are highly specialised on developing enterprise distributed applications (These professionals already had prior experience on developing real time applications using all technologies) especially using java/j2ee/j2me technologies.
Thanks & regards
Ready to deliver finished application with source now, but project realized in Delphi (database - MS Access 97). Can provide support and evolution for this project if you want.
Can translate project from Delphi to Visual C if you want.
With best regards.
