I am a performance coach that owns a mixed martial arts training studio.
My Editorial Assistant writes and edits everything that goes out of the company.
Unfortunately, with the influx of clients I have had within the past few weeks and everything else I have going on - I just don’t have the time that I need to commit to turning out the amount of content that I need, so I’m looking for a consistent content - whether it’s a 300-word blog post, a 50-word email, a 700 word press release, a 1000-word article, a 10,000 word lead magnet, a 30,000 word manual, or a dripped content how-to course.
For the most part - I would want short posts (300-500 words) that deal with topics that would all revolve around my coaching, with a heavy focus on athletes - whether the sport athlete, tactical athlete (police, fire, military) or civilian athlete.
The content, while broad enough to speak to anyone, should be focused more on personal development issues directed to the 3 categories above.
The tone should be straight-forward and edgy, with language that a lay-person could easily grasp and comprehend (no technical, philosophical or theoretical-based content)
Aside from creating content: developing and maintaining a content calendar and keeping everything on the content side running smoothly would be your primary tasks.
The perfect candidate has a few years of experience and is comfortable developing content ideas on a regular and consistent basis.
This position will plan and execute a consistent content calendar on a weekly and monthly basis, to include content marketing.
The Editorial Assistant will provide a thorough, detailed review of all written pieces prior to publication. He/she will be responsible for finalizing content that is error-free, typographical errors, grammatical accuracy and easy readability.
