Update an Android Gradle plugin to work with latest Android SDK

The plugin simply replaces ${placeholders} inside android XML resources: [login to view URL]

Unfortunately, it currently doesn't work with '[login to view URL]:gradle:3.0.1'.

It would be extra-awesome if you can do so using the Android Transform API ([login to view URL]). I have started working on this on the branch 'transformApi', but couldn't get the transforms to be called against the XML resources.
