an XML file contains a list of items (thumbnail location, title, swf location).
Thumbnails are loaded in horizontally (5 columns unlimited rows) with a fade in effect.
When user mouseovers the thumb a transparent overlay scrolls up showing the title.
When the user clicks the thumb it fades in a movie clip over the thumbs (in a lightbox style, but white) which has the prev & next buttons but loads in the external swf in the area above the buttons, giving them the option to click next & view more items without having to go back to the thumbs.
There would also be a close button on that clip that returns the user to the thumbnails.
I’ve attached some files, 1 has the prev/next buttons which work with their XML structure, another has the scroller & transparent overlay (this is the one I made, this is the actual required dimensions 1010x395px), the final one is an example of using xml to load in the thumbs with a fade effect (but i want them to load horizontally, not vertically).
i have worked on these files myself and have a fairly good idea of their workings, but what i need is someone that can write actionscript 2 that will:
load the xml, thus calling the thumbnails in the order specified (with a fade)
show (animate in) the title when rolled over, hide (animate out) the title on rollout
load the frame movieclip and the external swf in with a lightbox style fade (in white)
put a close button on the frame movieclip
i will obviously need someway to test the file does what i need, ie; upload it to a server and give me access to the thumbnails & xml file so i can change them & make sure they work.
feel free to ask me any questions.
