I want the auto-capitalization function on my phone's SMS composer to be undone/overridden. the phone does not auto-capitalize text anywhere else - not even in the MMS composer - so I know it is something to do with the coding/programming of the SMS composer alone.
what it does is capitalize the first word of any new sentence (as well as the first word of any new line), but the auto-capitalization does not take place until a space, period, question mark, or exclamation mark is added after the word in question. I am not sure if this fact is relevant or will be helpful to know, but I didn't think it could hurt to mention it.
if there is a registry edit for this, I cannot find it. (I have had the phone for a year now, so believe me, I've looked - extensively.) and yes, I have tried disabling all the settings for auto-correct and such. no matter what the phone's input settings are adjusted to, auto-caps persists (again, only for the SMS composer).
my phone is a Samsung SCH-i220 with Windows Mobile 6.1 (factory ROM).
