We require a website to be ‘re-built’ based on an archived website.
If the work is satisfactory we want two additional sites ‘upgraded’ from the very old templates currently used.
The ‘re-build’ site is [url removed, login to view]
We have allowed this to lapse: the domain name was too elaborate and the site was based on a book selling e-commerce template which was complicated and time consuming to update and maintain.
Archived pages can be viewed at
[url removed, login to view]
We now have a replacement domain [url removed, login to view]
We want the re-built website on the new domain [url removed, login to view] to appear the same as [url removed, login to view]
Then we want to be able to amend it in any way as we wish.
The new site will be hosted on a Dreamhost server.
The new site will be maintained using a template on a ‘local computer’ which can be amended then replicated / ftp’d to the remote domain host server. This is essential because we need frequently to create or edit site content at a few minutes notice. We are able to do this with other web sites that we operate.
The new hosted site must be ‘responsive’ – it must adapt to browser sizes based on popular devices like Androids, iPhones and iPads.
We will consider either a Wordpress-based website or a ‘static’ page type website.
The finished website must be our property; we must own the copyright of the finished product.
Questions and Requirements.
Can this site be developed ‘locally’ then uploaded to our Dreamhost web server?
We have looked at Obox Store with WooCommerce, which has ‘mass data upload’ plug-in.
However, we are open to alternative suggestions.
