Collect flag images and descriptions for countries of the world, prepare in a standardized format..

For each country listed in [url removed, login to view]:National_flags, starting with Belize, get the two letter ISO 3166 country code (also available on Wikipedia), then for each code like xx, download the public domain SVG file for the flag, renaming it to xx.svg. Then copy the first paragraph that describes the flag and store it as plain text in a file named xx.txt. Finally, convert the svg file to a png file that is 600 pixels wide and save it as xx.png.
As an example for the United States this would result in three files: [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], and us.txt. All filenames must be lowercase. Note: Inkscape is a free program that can create images from SVG files.
When all flags have been completed, compress all the files into a single zip file.
Note on intellectual property: the flags are public domain; Wikipedia will be credited for the text.
