For my own personal interest, I am creating a simple AVFoundation based video recorder app. I am looking for an experienced developer to help me overcome a bug in my code. My code, written in Swift, builds fine but when I hit record in the app, it crashes. The error reported in the console is: *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[AVCaptureMovieFileOutput startRecordingToOutputFileURL:recordingDelegate:] Nil delegate passed' The Apple documentation is awful. I'm sure that someone with AVFoundation will fix this in a few minutes. As I'm creating this app to teach myself to code in swift, I am not just looking for a fix but a clear explanation of the error. I hope you can help?
