Need a standalone checksum utility which checks a users files against files stored on a webserver. User should be able to change the user folder. All files in the folder and its childfolders should be checked. The files being checked are script files which are basically txt and xml files. If there is a discrepancy between files, the name of the file in question should be noted in a log file. The user should be able see which file is currently being checked. Once the check is completed, a popup message should alert the user if all files are ok, or if there were discrepancies. A user option should exist to receive an email as well. The utility should be an installable file with some branding on it. Will provide details on that aspect later, once the actual code works. I currently have something in JS and Python, but it is unreliable. I am open to any programming language as long as the user experience and administration is painless.

I have built web based complex systems and understand data hashes due to extensive use over 14 years. I can do this but my main question is what is it L:inux or Windows, as we'll update hashes when files change and can be cron or file system hook but need some server side processing php or .net to accomplish it effectively. Once we determine the tool and pattern of updates to the hashes we'll trigger updates and display hashes on a web based protocol http based most likely. End user runs what type of operating system is my second question? Then we'll create this app that uses the http based api to request matching hashes on demand or also triggered automatically on file edit. Talk to me skype stephanunrau but we have to do payment on this site.

Dear Sir, I think that i can work on this project. I 'll develop this checksum utility with Larael as it has lots of builtin helper methods. It can continually scan large amount of files without PHP timeouts. Please check my feed backs. Hope to discuss with you about the functionality. Regards, Damith
