I need an application that can run as either a console OR installed windows service. Application should be written in C#.Net OR Java as I may want to run on Linux as well so maybe Java is the way to go. It will need to connect to cameras (I have the API, it is just HTTP) and handle events to take images. It will need to implement a server to send text or XML messages to another device when images are taken along with the image paths. Application will need to have good performance and run alot of parallel or concurrent processes. I would also like the application to have an XML configuration file that I can setup the system and cameras. Last, I need it to connect to a local SQL Express DB to store information. Project will need to be expandable as we will likely need to get adding to it. I would like to find somebody I can partner with and keep coming back to with projects. This is just the first of many. That is all from a high level, will explain the details once we get started.

Hi, how are you? I have experience doing multithreading services (java is my main language) you want a real time application. right? i have experience doing that. no only multithreading services, you should need a real time application based on a real time queue server. I like implement Apache kafka, is a queue server with high performance(but really high performance), we can split that application on micro services and do that with really high performance, a scalable system. Trust me i have experience on this type applications, maybe only a listener is good, but i think we will need implement a application based on kafka to shared information between many services. I have a question. You want share this CCTV way to web Right? You have camera documentation protocol? maybe we can get streaming and no only photos. I have done similar type of project. Under that project I have developed ANPR application which uses Axis Camera. I have used http command for capturing image. Image and transaction record were installed database. Configuration of Camera (IP, Username, Password, Port) & Database (Server, Port, Username & password, DB Name) was XML based file.
