Cities Report

Your Cities Report will compare and contrast any Australian city of your choice with an equivalent international city of your choice. • For this report, a city is any settlement with a population of 100,000 or more. • You are required to compare and contrast your chosen cities by addressing each of the following criterion: v Spatial footprint, ie, km² v Current population and annual rate of increase or decline v Physical setting, ie, inland or coastal v Urban density and form v Major economic drivers/industries v Main city plans and strategies v Public transport availability and usage v Potential future threats and opportunities Notes on the Task: • Your report should be 1000-1200 words in length using font size 11 and single-line spacing for the main text. • Illustrations such as maps, photographs, tables or figures should be included to augment your report. • Use references from academic and technical sources to support your findings. You may use any referencing convention you choose (APA, Harvard, etc) but it must be applied consistently. • Be creative with your report style and presentation – use your imagination! • Your report is to be electronically submitted via TurnItIn. • Avoid plagiarism and exercise academic integrity by using correct referencing and not copying and pasting.
