A site like tumblr allows gifs, but they have similar limitations to size. They stretch the gifs to something like 500px width. So you can get a smaller size by reducing the pixel size. And then the site makes it larger. Which will result in less quality in the image. I can re-save them through photoshop if you are interested. I can adjust the settings to try and get to that size.
