I'm creating a Flash application run on a CD for an art collection. The project will allow users to view art in photo gallery with a description of each piece (artist, title, description). What I need is a database that will allow the user to edit the descriptions for each piece at run-time. I would like the descriptions and images for each piece to load dynamically using .php. I would also like to have a print option allowing the user to print the individual image and description, or a listing of the entire collection (artists and titles only)

php cant be run on a local machine from a CD -- UNLESS PHP AND IIS are ENABLED on Windows (requires windows xp professional) and you run from a browser. Many people will NOT be able to use such an application. However there are some other alternatives. I am based in the USA and A Flash Expert - Lets Talk.
