Cell Phone Selection Wizard

This tool takes an xml feed of Cell Phones for sale in the United States, parses it into a Data Feed, and then allows users to search for cell phones by asking them different questions. The developer will also be required to enable different template URLs via mod_rewrite for each brand of cell phone and each carrier of cell phone. ## Deliverables **Concept: **Allowing users to find Cellular Phones for Sale on our website. **Execution: **Two methods: 1. By using the Cell Phone Selection Wizard which will be built. 2. By clicking either on a manufacturer or cell phone provider to see all phones in that category. **What the programmer needs to do: **1. Import the XML feed to a database. XML File is updated and emailed several times weekly, we may be able to get it pushed via ftp. 2. Create a config file which lists destination urls for each provider so that when the user wants to buy, he knows where to go. 3. Create .htaccess, pretty urls and templating system for all cell phone manufacturers and providers (a good example of this is [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL]). 4. Create a wizard that asks users several questions (To Be Supplied) and then determines a cell phone that they need. 5. Show user the cell phone on the final page, and pull up specs from database for that phone.
