Browser-based Point-of-Sale/Scheduling/Bookkeeping

Point-of-sale/Appointment scheduling/Bookkeeping software for a massage spa offering both in-call and out-call services as well as some retail products. Desired functionality: * Standard POS functionality: management of accounts, clients, products, services, appointments, vendors, employees, etc. * Appointment scheduling/management functionality including day/week/month views for individual technicians as well as scheduling for all technicians for a specific day * some (e.g. appointment) data exposed to customers (via secure login) * Credit card payment processing * Tracking of advertisements (cost and resulting business they bring in) * Database accessible from multiple locations - securely * Processing/data entry/printing (via precise CSS positioning?) of insurance data/forms * Automated reminder system ("Don't forget your appointment on...", "In honor of your birthday, come see us for...", "We've missed you...", etc.) generates e-mails and/or postcards. * Mailing labels printed from database records for mass mailings * Mass e-mail system with statistics on opt-outs, deleted/unread, etc. App should run within a web browser (we use Firefox) and have a multi-tabbed interface for quick access to all functionality. App/Database will be shared by (and should be securely accessible from) multiple business locations. Plans exist for business expansion to include multiple co-located business in a "co-op" type arrangement (i.e. a full-service wellness spa with massage, acupuncture, chiropractic, nutritionist, etc. all under one roof.) All practitioners should be able to use the same database, sharing certain tables/data (e.g. insurance companies) while maintaining confidentiality of client information. Certain, basic, non-confidential information should be accessible globally, for the purposes of cross-promotion. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form along with complete, well-documented source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform PHP/MySQL is preferred, but will consider alternatives. Application must be W3C standards-compliant with separate CSS for easy restyling - no embedded styles.
