API - XML project to develop Quick Planner and Service Advisory for train system

I am looking to develop a transportation QuickPlanner and a Real Time Departures chart (using San Francisco Bay Area's BART train system data) for my website. They have to look and function like the ones that BART is using in their website. BART provides an API key that will spit out the data in XML. The project then consists of parsing that data and using it to develop our own version of a Quick Planner and Real Time Departures chart. We basically have to model our QuickPlanner and Real Time Departures chart on the ones that BART uses on their website. The look and functionality have to be identical.
