data packager/Unpackager/ simple operations

First time bidder - sorry in advance. The software is to facilitate the transfer of a set of files from one location to a second location. There is a 'packing' and an 'unpacking' aspect to this software. Packing software componenet: This component takes 2 files on the local machine, and performs a few simple functions to the files before compressing the files into a compressed archive. The local machine is a PC running windows 2k. operations that need to be performed to these (ascii) files include - converting the line breaks from unix format to dos, and renaming the files based on the first few lines of the contents of the file in addition to variables defined in the GUI I will describe below, and running a data consistency check on the data (which has already been coded in python 2.4). The packing software will need to have a GUI interface which will do 3 things: 1) collect approximately 10 pieces of information which is going to be used in the naming of the files before they are compressed. 2) create a log of the variable values which is stored as a txt file along with the files that are getting packaged 3) allow an the user an option to create an additional text file that gets stored with the other files which has miscelanious notes. The unpacking software will uncompress the compressed package into a location that is indicated by the operator (basically like unzip), it will try to copy the compressed package to a location on the network (please make the software remember the location via an .ini), and send a dos command to the command line. I hope the project sounds straightforward enough. I would prefer the code be written in: c# or .net Please ask for clarification as I am not used describing projcets like this. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows 2K and Windows XP compatible. (.net architecture is installed)
