Our software is installed through a standard EXE installer. We need you to create an MSI "wrapper" for our current installer to allow the installation to be handled by SMS or other apps that can automatically run MSI installers. We have Wise for Windows Installer 6.0, so you must create the script using that.
What we require is very simple: Create a script that will simply run our installer and then exit. No GUI, no update checking, etc. This means that if you run it 10 times in a row on the same computer without uninstalling anything, it will run the embedded installer 10 times.
Create the script to run [login to view URL] and wait for it to exit. Be sure to document how we can modify the script to change the EXE from notepad, and how we can specify command line parameters.
Is it possible to pass command line parameters when running an MSI file? If so, please have the script read any params and pass them to the exe it's running (notepad).
