Hello,
I need the following in a simple (in my eyes) application.
1. Ability to extract data from an a single cell in a table in an html page. This table has three columns, of those I am intersted in only one. I MUST be able to specify the exact cell I want the information from. For reference check the following app - Web Content Extractor, example comes from it.
example of HMTL path to particular data file
HTML[1].BODY[1].CENTER[1].DIV[1].DIV[3].DIV[5].DIV[2].DIV[3].DIV[2].DIV[3].DIV[1].TABLE[1].TBODY[1].TR[1].TD[1]
example of code that I need the data extracted from:
TD style="BORDER-RIGHT: #ff0000 4px dotted; BORDER-TOP: #ff0000 4px dotted; BORDER-LEFT: #ff0000 4px dotted; BORDER-BOTTOM: #ff0000 4px dotted; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffff00" align=left>$98.22</TD
2. This table is updated in a descending order, newest data comes at the top (see attached example). It refreshes fast, sometimes 6-10 times a second. The app must be able to MONITOR and updates changes LIVE in visual format.
3. The information that appears in the particular cell must be logged into a manner that is easy to observe.
4. The app will have to compare data updated in that table/cell against already logged values.
Kind of like:
Variable A - cell with live data feed
Variable B - column that would take entries from Variable A
Variable C - column that counts appearance of values in Variable B and adds a +1 to the respective value
Logic as follows:
IF Var A value does not match values from Var B then add Var A value to Var B list, else add a +1 to Var C for that particular Var B value
How doable is that? Again the application must constantly monitor that table cell for changes, update the two columns with data and add a +1 every time the same data comes through.
5. Must be able to run in multiple instances on a Win, no idea if this is possible on a Mac.
I'd give preference to a Mac application or a cross Win/Mac but will also suffice with a Win only app.
