I need a matlab m-file to interpret biomechanical data, namely the position and orientation of a leg relative to a fixed pelvis using one six degrees of freedom sensor. I need a matlab m-file that will take the position of a 6 degrees of freedom sensor located on the patella on the knee and be able to A) fit a center of rotation for a measured arc (the functional hip joint center) and B) after a center has been defined give me angles in three different planes relative to the defined center of rotation (a flexion plane, an adduction/abduction plane/ and a rotation plane). So this program will probably require two sets of inputs and two parts of the program. The first would be an initialization to specify the hip joint center and the second part of the program would find movement relative to that point. If a person were laying flat on the ground (as will be the case) then the flexion plane is the one perpindicular to the ground and transecting the long-axis of the body, the adduction/abduction plane would be the plane parallel to the ground, and the rotation plane would be the plane perpindicular to the ground and perpindicular to the flexion angle such that it is parallel with the body's feet, i.e. it should measure the amount of rotation of a person's foot if it were turned left and right. The six degrees of freedom sensor will output X,Y,Z positional coordinates and orientation angles in six collumns in excel.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
3). The program needs to be able to run from Matlab, acquire input variables from excel files stored in a folder, and output to a gui flexion angle, rotation angle, and adduction/abduction angle from a functional hip joint center.
## Platform
Program must be written in Matlab and operate in Matlab on a PC running Windows XP.
