The software I seek to develop will be responsible for keeping a collection of databases spread across different locations in sync over the internet in two different ways.
1) The central office software will need to be able to add/delete/edit products and push those product changes to all the locations at once. The software will also need to poll every night and pull down retail history and store in a local database in order to run reports off of.
2) Throughout the day the central office will need to keep the client portion of the databases at each location in sync. So anytime a change is made to a client, or a new client is added, those changes go out to all the other locations.
I have already developed part 1 in VB6, but now need to develop part 2. I would like to hire a .NET expert to port portion 1 to .NET and develop part 2. Ideally I would like someone who has developed this exact type of software before. The amount of computers to poll will range from 10 to 1000 per client.
