Hi am looking to have a small piece of software developed that will watermark images and upload them to a specific folder (based on values entered) on an FTP site. I already have had this software developed, we have since changed webservers, the previous developer hard coded the FTP logon details and now I can not get hold of him to make these changes. I am able to send the current software for you to see my requirements. We are photographers working in various locations around Europe. All of our images are uploaded to an online shop. The shop breaks the images up into categories, 'Location' -> 'Venue' -> 'Date' ie. 'Benidorm' -> 'Champions Bar' - '120601' (Date format yymmdd) The software should work in 4 steps... (On application load, settings text file to be downloaded from server - will explain more later about this) Step1: User to select 'Location' from drop down list (values will be taken from a text file stored on webserver.) User to select 'Venue' from drop down list (values will be taken from a text file stored on webserver.) User to select the date the images were taken. (These values should then be stored for later use) ->Click 'Next' to go to next step Step 2 User is prompted to insert memory card. The software should then scan inserted memory card and copy all images to a temporary folder. When finished, the user should be prompted to insert next memory card, or click 'next' if there are no more memory cards to scan. (at this point there should also be a 'browse' button for manually locating images) Step 3 All images copied from memory cards should be displayed in a grid form on screen, with options to rotate an image or delete an image. There should also be an opion to set image as album cover (album cover images should be renamed to [login to view URL]) When user has reviewed all images (rotated or deleted unwanted images & set an album cover) user clicks 'Next' Step 4 At this point, all images should be renamed to [login to view URL], [login to view URL] [login to view URL] etc. The image selected as Album cover should become image [login to view URL] The application should then create 2 new sets of images Originals & Watermarks Originals... The application should resize all images to 2048x1536 (disregarding aspect ratio) - images size to be no more than 1MB - These images should be treated as the original images from this point, the previous originals (larger files) should be disregarded. Watermarks.... The application should resize all images to 400x300 (disregarding aspect ratio) - images to be watermarked with a png file. each venue has it's own watermark file. This will be applied according to value selected in Step 1. The watermark images are stored on our web server - each venue has 2 png files, one for landscape images and one for portrait images. Once files have been resized and watermarked, they should be uploaded to an ftp site. The folder they are uploaded to, relates to the values selected in step 1. 'Original' Images to be uploaded to: /dl/[location]/[venue]/[date]/ 'Watermarked' images to be uploaded to: /image/[location]/[venue]/[date]/ ---- The current application downloads 2 text files on start-up. '[login to view URL]' includes all of the values for the drop-down fields + the path to the relevant png file used for watermarking images. '[login to view URL]' the ftp log-on details - The text files currently look like this (extract): [login to view URL] - Benidorm-Champions Bar-[login to view URL] Benidorm-Cafe Benidorm-[login to view URL] * Blackpool-Funny Girls-[login to view URL] Blackpool-Kaos Bar-[login to view URL] --- [location]-[venue]-[url for watermark] an asterisk symbol (*) is used to seperate the locations. the 'url for watermark' is just a folder, within each folder will be 2 png files, one named [login to view URL] (portrait images) one named [login to view URL] (landscape images) [login to view URL] - ftp: [login to view URL] u/n: uploads p/w: upload NEEDED ASAP!
