I have this online application <[login to view URL]> that needs a new feature. Right now the application can only be filled out and submitted. I need so that the application can be saved for future use and submitted whenever the application is ready. Thus, besides submit button, there will have to be Save button. After saving the application, the user will be provided with unique hash, which he/she can use to access the application later on. Once the Submit button is pressed, the application will still be viewable, but it cannot be modified by the user anymore. Type "OG" in the beginning of the message so that I know the bid is not automatic.

Let me explain some more. Right now the application information is stored in the MySQL database. I will provide ftp access to the web server and MYSQL access. There will be 2 buttons: "Submit" and "Save&Submit". The applicant can start filling out the form. The applicant cannot submit the form unless all the required fields are entered. However the applicant can save the form even though some of the required fields are empty. That way the applicant can come back another day and fill in the rest of the form. Once all the required fields are filled in and valid, the applicant should be able to save the recent updates and the script will send the email. Saving the form in the DB, client side validation, email sending is already implemented. What I need is ability to save the app. It should work like this. Whenever the applicant saves the form the data is saved in the database along with unique hash. Storing in cookies, in session, in HTTP query string are not acceptable solutions. The acceptable solution is saving unfinished application in the database. Once it is saved the script will show the applicant unique applcation ID (uniquely generated and associated with that application). The applicant can refer to saved application by providing appId=nf8923nlasdfncsdf920293ururnfw0302 in query string.
