Complete perl script: data in a MySQL DB(repost)

We need a perl programmer able to finish this script; almost all the basic functionality is in place. Attached some basic documents, a data file, the task list and a script that uploads data in to the new DB. The immediate work we need is step 4 in the [login to view URL] file. It basically is about adding a new data source to our DB. We are interested in the fields: StockNumber, Symbol, FreeFlag, and Name. We want to match them to the ones in our DB and populate the StockIDRelations table with this new Data source. Matching is by Company name as well as by symbol, but some symbols may have been changed or reassigned to new companies. Much of the basic work is done (like company name comparison, adding symbols to the DB, querying the DB, etc), but the specifics to read the data and how to do the matching is what this project is all about. The FreeFlag determines if a company is Active or Inactive, if inactive, we may not have it in the the DB, we should add it. if it already exists we have to follow the insertion criteria to add the -disabledX (where Xis a number) postfix to the symbol name to avoid duplicate stock names. The [login to view URL] document explains some of this. At the end we expect a modified script that has two new options, one to add/update data from the given file. Data gets sectorrootid 5 and companies are matched to the companies we already have the DB. Another new option that allows us to create linked files from a directory where each filename is a number ([login to view URL]) to a new directory where the file name is the stock [login to view URL] ([login to view URL]), noting that the file may already exists as a link or as an actual file (we do not want to change existing files). We need a signed NDA before we can send you more files. These will include: - extensive documentation on the file formats - data - DB schema and dump We have more work available.
