The proposed system is a crowd-sourcing application that utilizes the GPS and Internet capabilities in calculating the current speed of the car. The proposed phone application utilizes the Internet to connect to a database to get updated speed limits of the roads of one city( Few roads) . In addition, Statistics of cars’ speed on different roads/road segments can be collected in the database to provide the driver's mobile application with real-time traffic conditions displayed on an interface equipped with Google maps . The main 2 components of the proposed application are the android mobile application, and a DB-enabled web admin panel for road speeds entry.
