We use Basecamp software by 37signals. We have 1000 similar projects that need to be uploaded from an excel worksheet into Basecamp via the Basecamp API. Here is documentation for the web services API- [login to view URL] We need the spreadsheet upload to create projects and assign milestones and To-Dos. Please ask any questions!! Thanks, Chris --------- Additional Info- added 1-20-2010 ------------ This tool is just going to be used as a utility, so we are not concerned with a GUI. We need to be able to tell the tool which excel sheet (or TXT, CSV file, you tell us which is easiest) to upload. The excel sheet will always be the same template. The API steps would be like- API call to "Create" a project API call to "Create" 7 milestones for each project API call to "Assign" company name to project That is it, please send any questions Thanks

Hello! I've read your project description, looked over the basecamp API and I would be interested to work on your project. I have a question for you: you wrote about creating milestones and todos inside the project. I've found the API for creating the todos but nothing about milestones. Or do you refer to the same thing? And also, you picked Amazon Web Services as one of the required skills. What would you need that for? As for the data format, I think CSV would be the easiest to work with, we can establish a fixed format for it. Kind regards, Adina

hi, i did similar project for www.redmine.org. If you want you can switch from Basecamp to redmine with the same feeling and same look. The main difference is that redmine is free.
