I am simply needing someone to to add SSL support to the IRC bot "Eggdrop" It should be fairly simple, although I am not by any means a good C/C++ programmmer myself. This is strictly for adding the ability to join SSL encrypted IRC servers, thats all this is for, not bot network talk, or anything like that, just the actual irc connection via SSL. I'm fairly certain it should be decently easy, because: Eggdrop [url removed, login to view], has a patch to add SSL to it. So you can tell what needs to be done, etc. Here are some links for you: Eggdrop [url removed, login to view] (source) ftp://[url removed, login to view] Eggdrop [url removed, login to view] (ssl patch) [url removed, login to view] Eggdrop 1.1.5 (source) ftp://[url removed, login to view] I can provide a unix shell to work on if needed, no problem. What I am looking for is a a patch file, to apply to 1.1.5. Just like they have made with 1.6.17. So, in the end I want 2 things: 1) The new source, tarred up. 2) A patch file that will apply the changes to 1.1.5's source. Eggdrop's main core has not changed alot between 1.1.x and 1.6.x, they've re-arranged some stuff, and added new features, etc. But it should be fairly straight forward. One note: *NO* Upgrading to [url removed, login to view] to get SSL, is not an option for me. I have specific needs.
