I have a membership website which teaches how to play a musical instrument on video. Often the viewer (student) will need to constantly repeat a section to keep practicing that part correctly. I have flowplayer embedded on my site.
I need three primary goals to be met:
1) user is able to press 'a' and 'b' on their keyboard which sets their desirable start and stop loop section in the video clip. They can press 'x' to remove those points so the video continues playing normally. (You can go to a similar site to see this in action - GuitarTricks com) However, in my opinion they haven't done a great job, because the viewer sees the letter A & B on the track and they are extremely large and it's hard to set shorter exact points. They also have an unnecessary 'r' button which puts it on repeat, but if you set 'a' and 'b' then obviously you want it on repeat - if not just press 'x' to remove it. They have an unnecessary button to click on the video for loop, which I don't think we need, because again, if you set 'a' and 'b' then obviously you want it on repeat.
2) I have the latest version of flowplayer which is supposed to be able to play the flv/ mp4 (h264) videos on iPad or iPhone as well. But currently this is not the case with my site. Flowplayer's website made it seem that there didn't need to be additional code for this, so please help figure this out and correct.
3) I want to have a 'playlist' for flowplayer, but not a traditional one with separate videos, but rather clickable button options which are for the one video playing, but rather chapters or specific time points to go to. My videos won't technically be streaming where we can skip ahead of loading, but once it's loaded I'd like the buttons to work in order to go to a specific part in the video. The reasoning is because since I have video lessons, I have a few different chapters in the video and it makes it easier for the user to find a certain section.
