For video editing I need to be able to identify specific frames in an on-line video. (more specifically I need others to be able to specify specific frames in an online video.) I also need to be able easily control the movement of a video. I've played with flash but haven't been able to provide the stepping resolution I need and could not get the video to move while 'scrubing.' But I was able to find some code that sort of identified the frame position. (However there must be a bug in the player as it is isn't quite right.) See an example HERE: **[login to view URL]
**Now I have found that by using h264 encoding into a mp4 container and using quicktime I can get the resolution and control I need. (For example you as you 'scrub' you can see the video move and I can control frame movement with the arrow keys using Apple's Quicktime player. The thing I can't do is determine what frame I am at for later editing. See an example of this HERE: **[login to view URL]
**So the task is to provide me a javascript or php script that shows me what frame I am in during the playback (really only needed while stepping) of my QT videos and also being able to goto a specified frame in a video **OR** showing me how to do the same using flash.
