Automatic Image Refresh (from an IP camera)

I have a web page that shows a live feed from a camera.? This live feed is a single .jpg image, named "[url removed, login to view]"? The file name never changes.? I'm currently using the following script to update the image on my page (actual hostname is replaced):
<IMG src="<[url removed, login to view]>" name="refresh">
? ? ? ? ? <SCRIPT language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
? ? ? ? ? var t = .5 // interval in seconds
? ? ? ? ? image = "<[url removed, login to view]>"
? ? ? ? ? function Start() {
? ? ? ? ? tmp = new Date();
? ? ? ? ? tmp = "?"+[url removed, login to view]()
? ? ? ? ? [url removed, login to view]["refresh"].src=image+tmp
? ? ? ? ? setTimeout("Start()", t*1000)
? ? ? ? ? }
? ? ? ? ? Start();
Although the above script works, every time the update/refresh occurs, IE displays "Downloading Picture" in the IE status bar, and FireFox displays "Transferring Data".? I don't like this, and hope there is a way around it.
What I need from the selected developer is an example of updating the image without the browser status bar changing, and without an hour glass.
I don't care if it's? done in? php, javascript, Flash, or a combination of any.? I do require that it works with both FireFox and IE, and there cannot be any flicker, fade, pixelation, etc.? The end result needs to appear as if it's a streaming video with at least 1 FPS.
