The project consists of an electronic version of an old italian dictonary. The 1550 pages of the dictionary have been scanned, divided in blocks (where each block should be a word in the dictionary) and the defined word has been OCR-ed. This work must now be hand-checked: 1) the "cuts" must be checked (i.e. we mst be sure that the division in blocks is ok) 2) the words defined must be checked (the word must be ok) This is done through a small custom program ([login to view URL] in the enclosed ZIP file together with a sample of pages on the 1200 pages to be processed). When unzipping the ZIP file, be sure to preserve the directory structures. In the ZIP there is also a more detailed DOC on the work and the program.
