ActiveX/COM object to read bittorrent number of seeds/peers

I need an activeX/com object to read number of seeds/peers from a URL torrent resource. This component will be used in Visual Basic 6, however it (the compnent) can be developed in any language, preferably C++ for speed. This needs to be a non blocked control. Property : URL - ie : '[login to view URL]' *** Needs to work for http:// AND ftp:// URLS Please note some ftp:// urls are syntax : ftp://id:pw@domain/[login to view URL] Property (returned) : seeds (int) Property (returned) : peers (int) Property (returned) : valid (int) Method : Verify Event (fired when finished) : Processed This control will read a torrent url, get seeds and leeches (number) then fire off the Processed event. It will have set valid =1, or valid =0 if url unreachable or obviously bad torrent/invalid file.
