Create Customized Forums for a Website

We are creating a large community website, based on forums on different subjects. We are looking at using vBulletin as the foundation of the forums, but are welcome to others ideas, but please note:

YOU MUST PROVIDE AT LEAST 3 WORKING EXAMPLES OF FORUMS YOU’VE CREATED!

We will not spend time reviewing a bidder who has not shown past experience in creating of forums. This is a serous project and we are looking for serious bidders.

This project will need to start within the next 30 days, but we have allotted a total of 90 days for development and testing. After the forums are live and fully worked out, we are looking to keep the chosen programmer as one of the members of the project, but understand that if you’re too busy to fully support the project on an ongoing basis then we can hopefully just have you help out when needed and available.

If you don’t have this or don’t provided this then we will not even consider your bid as the above project requires a person/company that has a proven record in developing customized forum applications.

## Deliverables

The following is the general specs of the requirements, more will be provided once you are confirmed as our chosen programmer, also please note:

THIS PROJECT WILL BE A POSSIBLE ON GOING JOB, SO WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WILLING/WANTING TO MAKE CONTINUOUS INCOME.

Basic project Specs for the forums are:

1) Mod re-write to ensure that posts/forum have the post name, and appear in html format.

2) The template of the forums will be custom arranged and will have dynamic content on each of the pages.

3) Forum categories will be ranked based on a ranking formula, this means the categories will change in order based on the formula we have established. There will be two ranking formulas within the forum system, but only one will be applied at a time. (Formulas provided only to chosen bidder)

4) User ranking/rating system to allow user to gain in value the more they post and the more other value their posts. this would be similar to the "Reputation Power:" found at [url removed, login to view]

5) Allow for a custom news feed to be put beside the posts, this news feed will pull news based on the topic/title of the posting, this will be dynamic and you will have to select a news feed partner for this.

6) Creation of RSS/XML feed based on each of the categories, the rss feeds will update automatically/daily depending our how you can setup the feed.

7) There will be 20 different forums within on site, each of the forums will be run interpedently from the others, within each forum there will be anywhere from 10 to 50 different categories.

8) One forum will be used as more a personal blog for the members of the forums, this forum will have categories based on all the other 20 forums subjects, within each category the forum will allow a registered member to create his own thread/posting. Only one thread is allowed per registered member and the format/layout for this will be similar to an actual blog rather then a forum format.

## Platform

This is a startup project so we have nothing setup yet, but will be using our own servers, probably Dell and can be configured to match requirements of the project.
