You mentioned that you require database program for that I would like to have clarification on 2 points : 1) You have client program with yourself and you want database for that. Then Access database can be used to provide you the required functionality in an application, along with the reports mentioned. 2) If you don't have a client program and you want it to get done that too. Then an application can be written in Access database using forms and other coding techniques to provide you desired solution. First I have 1 doubt about this project: Where database should be installed? On local computer where the main app is installed or somewhere else on network? If it need to be local database, may I suggest *.mdb file (access database) and main program written in Java or VB. Main App will have 3 tabs: 1) generate coupon - where user can generate new coupons 2) redeem coupon - for redeeming coupons 3) reports - where user can pick which report want to generate.
