ALTERnetREALITY aPP

The Apps main function is to streamline communication between our audience and the characters within the show. Lets say our main character who is streaming live, comes across an odd music box. That music box would pop up in the App’s inventory for the viewer, allowing the audience to examine it from their phone. Turns out it has an opening for a small skeleton key. Looking further through the inventory screen we find we already have one, and we press the combine button. The music box unlocks, revealing a key element to the story. That process would be sent as a direct message to the character from the audience member who uncovered it first. The concept is not new to gaming as it has been used to death in games like Resident Evil. It just has never been applied to live streaming events. The audience member would also receive a point in our leaderboards, exchangeable for merchandise, trophies, and other rewards. NOTE: The app would not stream the video, we already have that element in place through a partnership with Dacast.com. Basically they view the stream on a separate screen, and the app acts as more of a video game controller on their phone or tablet. Key Elements Item Inventory Screen - As new items of interest are found, they pop up in the inventory zone. Each Item can be examined through magnification Items can be combined to create new items Video Inventory Photo Inventory Map Inventory Chat Room- For both the characters and fellow audience members Direct Message to actors Leaderboard audience member profile, points etc Mission Page - All main objectives and side missions available as a task list. Quick (10 second) audience polls Section for audience to input answers to riddles Actor UI - Simplified screen for actor to see key audience interaction, poll results, riddle answers etc Developer Backend - Similar to a WordPress style novice friendly backend we can edit to add new content and set time codes for items to pop up Reviewable Content - Ability to upload edited versions of shows that were once live DISCLAIMER: Please do not overthink the functionality of this app. The ALTERnetREALITY app is practically a glorified photo uploader. The inventory items are preloaded jpgs we would click live at the appropriate time. They only require the Combine function (which would set live another preloaded jpg.) The Map is merely a preloaded jpg set to go live when appropriate. Same with Photos and Video are simply preloaded Videos. The Chat Room, is a pretty simple chat room that allows you to use your profile name. The Profile itself is Name/Photo/and tracking of points that would send to the main website for leaderboards. The Choice poll is merely a typical poll. The Mission Page is a text summary. The difficult part is really behind the scenes. A backend that allows a novice to go in and do the uploads fast.
