Develop Logo Concept - repost

I want a Logo concept to be done in Adobe Illustrator. I need the logo for 3 Domain names to start but this could change to more.

That is why I want the concept to be easily reproduceable at minimal effort and cost.

I want to incorporate state maps into the design of the logo as each website will be specific to geographical regions.

There are numerous places on the web to aquire free AI compatible maps and I have included samples.

1. We need to select and use a readily available font for the logo text.

2. Use the same technique and colors for the State map images as this logo will be used in the header of the website and in

addition: Business Cards and Stationery. We need to come up with a creative & compelling look.

For example: embossed,extruded,3d like or whatever just not a flat image of the state map. If you can include a Fly Line,

Fly Rod or some other related image to convey that the logo is fishing related all the better but I want the design to be simple.

These websites will be focused on fishing for Trout and Salmon in the individual US states. I've included some clip art that is related to fly fishing to

aid in the creative process. Ideally the designer that we hire is a familiar with fly fishing for trout but it isn't a requirement.

The text uses the abbreviation of the state followed by the characters: "[url removed, login to view]"

Alaska: [url removed, login to view]

California: [url removed, login to view]

Michigan: [url removed, login to view]

I would like the State abbreviation letters to appear slightly larger than the other characters. You can use all caps for all text characters if it looks better. We can also uses color variations to make the State abbreviations to stand out a bit more as well. This is all up to the designer's discretion to produce a visually pleasing outcome.

The detail of the attached state files is greater than needed for the logo. All the little islands aren't necessary see Alaska as an example. We need just the level of detail to know that is the state in question. See numerous examples of states displayed on line for example. If you look at the attached images. You can get an idea of the concept I'm looking for albeit a much more professional look.

I would like the fish to look like it is leaping out of the state image and come up with an appropriate text orientation.

I can purchase the fish [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view] or the otherclip art images (if another image would work better) in eps form for the project.

I am open to creative suggestions. I just want the logo to be simple and professional.
