We currently have a single A2billing server with a few clients on it. We are expecting the numbers to grow soon. We are interested in knowing more about creating a multi-server cluster using A2billing, OpenSips/OpenSer and Asterisk/Freeswitch. The cluster should have a single instance of A2billing so that we can manage everything on one interface but the calls should be load balanced over multiple servers. We are currently capable of doing over 300 max simultaneous calls on a single A2billing server. Our target figures are 1000 simultaneous calls, so we would need whatever can give us that. The setup needs to be expansible, so say few months down the line if we need more capacity we should be able to add more servers to increase the overall capacity and thus number of simultaneous calls. As of now, we just need an expert to guide us on how the setup will work and what the expenses will be so we can work on it and decide if we want to go ahead with the project now. This project is only for your detailed technical proposals and not for the actual setup. Although, please mention an estimate of the complete setup in a PM. The right candidate should have multiple experiences setting up a similar cluster. If possible should be able to show us the work and provide references of current or past customers for whom you did a similar setup.

Hello, I developed and implemented an environment identical to what you are describing and have a known working recipe that you could easily replicate for your own system. This environment is for a calling card and SIP wholesale service in Asia. It consists of a centralized A2Billing Database with redundant/synchronized DB backup, single A2B GUI admin interface, front-ended by multiple Asterisk servers, each architect-ed to handle ~200 calls each. Some of the Asterisk servers interface directly with the local Telco using E1 interfaces, others connect to commercial SIP trunk providers. Everything is redundant, fail-safe and easily scalable by simply adding more Asterisk resources. I was able to do all of this without the need of a SIP proxy front end but if you're requirements call for that, it is simple to incorporate one into my design. I have all of this already spec'd out with Visio diagrams, BOMs for servers, firewalls, etc. I even created a rapid install routine to quickly deploy new Asterisk nodes. My proposal includes this "recipe" which I will deliver to you consisting of all of the specifications and documentation that I have MONTHS invested in, along with 2-3 hours of remote consultation to help you understand the nuts and bolts of my proposal and otherwise guide you in the right direction for your particular needs.
