Build a stylized interactive Google Map with ~250 locations and simple route lines between locations

We are a network service provider and need a interactive map to allow customer to see locations and routes based upon 6 service types. Please see the attached images for an idea of the look/feel of the map. The locations will need to be grouped in areas of high density and use should have ability to view global/continent/country/regional/metro levels. i will provide Excel name/address data as well as a KMZ that contains most of the locations. The routes between locations will be simple, curved lines - NOT geographically accurate driving routes. A great example of this type of map and interface is located here: [login to view URL]
