Technology: SCALA, LIFT, COMET, AKKA, CASSANDRA. Knowledge in distributed systems and optimization - Nginx as CDN web-front, etc. This project is a social networking sports site. The site design should be lightweight, streamlined and themable. The design should utilize "responsive design" principles as the project ultimately will need to support various screen sizes - from mobile to desktop. Here's an example of responsive design utilizing media queries: [login to view URL] Change you browser window width to see the responsiveness of how the layout changes. The design should be relying on bitmaps as little as possible and utilize the principles of lightweight vector shapes as much as possible. Ultimately, there will be a need to support themes for the site - women, men, etc. The site will also feature a iphone/android mobile application view which would be built using sencha touch 2 framework.
