Hello I didn't understand what kind of map do you need? Raster, Vector or Image like on globe. Other question is the level of accuracy. If we are talking about raster map - I can propose20000x20000 images maximum. If image for map than 1:100 000 maximum detalization. If vector we have to talk only about detalization. If I can select between 1936 and 1942 I better select 1936. Because 1942 is WWII period with big political border changes.
