Your task is to design a cup holder/Spice rack transporter (choose only one application). For the cup holder the intended use is to attach the cup holder system to a desk. There should be a part in cup holder system to secure a coffee mug in it. The intended use of the spice rack is to mount it on the wall or the ceiling close to cooking area. In both cases, the spice rack holder and the cup holder could be placed and locked above the working area. To achieve this objective, four parts/group of parts (subassembly) should be designed. They are: Attachment group, locking group, transport group, and cup/spice rack holder group. Each should address the following functional requirements. The function of the attachment group is to secure the transport group to a desk, wall, or ceiling. The function of the locking group is to lock the transport group so that it is not falling under its own weight. The function of the transport group is to move the cup holder/spice rack in the space anywhere above the working surface area and stays level. You are encouraged to envision and design other features that make your design more user friendly.
