Design some Icons -- 2

About the Role The graphic designer is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. A high percentage of this role is the creation of icons. The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines. The main duties and responsibilities in this role will include, but are not limited to:- • Estimating the time required to complete the work • Creation of graphics, logos and UI elements for games • Creation of icons • Creation of interfaces/GUI across different types of software • Using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of cost and time • Effective communication and coordination with other teams to ensure the visual design is conveying the desired message Experience & Qualifications Essential skills • Graphic design portfolio • A thorough understanding of GUI application design • Excellent design skills, artistic ability and creative thinking along with knowledge of the principles of good design/layout • Good understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices • Working knowledge of web design/development tools • Very strong attention to detail, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • A willingness to take personal ownership of and responsibility of the role working alongside other team members • Experience using design software including but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite applications, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash and Microsoft office. • Ability to follow through on issues and ensure that deadlines are adhered to. • Working under pressure / short-notice when needed • Confidence to challenge feedback but also ability to accept constructive feedback professionally Desirable skills • Experience with GameMaker: Studio™ • Experience working with gesture and touch devices • Experience designing webpages in HTML/CSS • Experience on both MAC and PC To apply for this position and discuss the role further please send your CV, portfolio and day/week rate.
