Thank you for being detailed in what your after - I love working with people like you who are clear about what they want! I've had a look at the 2 websites, and get a picture of what you want, just a couple of questions though, are you looking to include a very wide range of services like thumbtack or for a specific niche like gigsalad? Also, you said you didn't want payment processed in the website, however, do you want a place for the services providers to log in and list their services, or will that also be sourced from outside the website? From what I've seen it seems that this is just the sort of project for me - where I know I can complete the task, but not something too simple that it's boring ;) I love being challenged and prefer working on more complex sites like yours! My preference is to build the site with joomla, that way you get a very professional, pleasant and easy to use website. Joomla also affords you tremendous functionality and every aspect is fully customisable which makes the site a lot easier to manage form the back end as the owner. It would also allow you plenty of flexibility with the choice of layout, design and colour scheme, and could be fully responsive - meaning the page would automatically resize to fit the screen when viewed from a mobile device. I've put my price down quite a bit because I'm new to this freelancer platform and would like to build some rapport before charging my full price.
