I currently have 8 technicians who all manually populate a large portion of calibration certificates for service work. I need an access database created to reduce their input work and add some reporting functionality.
The system will be composed of 50 forms, each of these is for a different piece of equipment and I have all copies currently in word format as attached example 2100Q. The tech should be able to start a new job and fill in the customer address and contact or select from a previous list of customers. They will also enter the date, the form should have all other fields pre populated from the technician creating the job and specific certificate values related to the technician(highlighted blue on attached 2100Q).
Once the first form is created they should be able to keep creating certs under the same job reference number until completed. All or individual certs should be printable in PDF, I also need a query/report where I can search for certificates by job number, technician, date range or customer. A report needs to be created which populates like attached "example instrument list" from this information.
As mentioned above when the technician is selected their specific set of calibration figures will need to populate the document, I will also need a very simple interface that these figures are all mapped from another form as they get new standards every 12 months and I want to enter it on one form which populates all their certs. I have experience with all the systems mentioned but do not know access well enough to build this, I will be able to supply very detailed information and support to the designer and think this should be a fairly simple project for someone with the correct skill set.
