I'm looking for help designing an electronic device for attendance management.
The battery powered device is going to be attached on cars in a car bodyshop so that each employee can use their rfid tag before and after working on a car.
The goal is so send a xml-rpc call to our ERP to track time spent on each car and by wich employee. The box is either statically identified and its id entered in the erp or configured via a digits display and keypad.
Process has to be looking like this :
- Car enters workshop, file is created in ERP, and a box is configured and attached to the window of the car.
- Employee is going to wash the car, he has to touch the box with his tag and xmlrpc command is sent (Employee 344 tagged himself on box 56)
- ERP is going to respond with OK (box shows green light) or NOOK (red light)
We are going to be using a ESP8266 (model ESP-12), RC522, voltage regulator and leds for sure and maybe flat 16 keypad (we already have these items).
So project consists of thesigning the circuitery/board and software on the box side. ERP side is done internally.
