Sounds like a great project to work on. I just need some clarification if you should consider me to do the development: 1. what is your planned product budget (price vs accuracy, what is more important)? 2. do you have an existing processor, IC, and other component range that I should develop with? 3. should the device capture the points (using sensors or an input device), read the points from standard software i.e. CAD or read the points from custom software? 4. Should the device compensate for scale - should it determine its distance from the target area where the projection is to be displayed 5. Will the points be projected on a flat surface 6. should the points be distinguishable from one another (i.e. by color). The accurate projection of points involves a fairly simple process, and remains fairly consistent in development and production costs irrespective of other features (unless full color is required). the other features required may however strongly effect both development and manufacturing costs of the product. I therefore need a basic understanding of what features the projector needs before I would be able to accept the project. The quote I submitted will project points captured as 3 dimensional points in relation to the projector, via USB from a file (or a software source) and project them, however does not include distance or positioning sensors or calculations.
