Hi,' Im a published author and I need help asap. I have attached the first chapter of my book, THE ART OF DYING, and I am looking for a professional US editor to check the flow...There shouldn't be more than 1 - 2 hours work...Everything is proofread several times. My goal is for the first chapter: To make it easy for the reader to understand what they can expect. Share with the reader...: 1. What is this book about. 2. What to expect. 3. Why I wrote it. 4. Why is it so hard to cope with death and dying (cultural taboo) 5. My own story and perspective, to make them relate to me.. ADD a few extra sentences where it makes sense. QUICK DRAFT..."I have addressed my beginning chapter to those of you who are dying. However for you as loved ones, it is important to say that half of the books is written for you. Being diagnosed with a terminally illness is a very difficult situation both for the person who are dying and for you as relatives. How you as loved ones cope, support and say the final goodbye is important for your pease at mind for years to come when u have to live on. I suggest that you read the whole book to get insight from both the perspective of being terminally ill and a loved ones soon to be left behind. I am very good at finding inconsistencies in point of view, verb tenses, etc., as well as rewording repetitions. Not to say that yours has any. Hi Susan, I have read your chapter and think it is a wonderful piece of writing that really does need to be written. It certainly resonates with me and my own experiences dealing with similar experiences I am a lawyer from South Africa and thus it is my job to go through documents with a fine toothed comb on a day to day basis.
